Chef De Partie, Maria G's Restaurant

Maria G’s is looking for an eager, talented, and passionate Chef De Partie with an interest in Italian cuisine to join our team at Maria G’s restaurant in Kensington.

This position requires someone with a positive attitude and a desire to learn on the job, grow in their role and cook beautiful food to a standard they can be proud of, whilst wanting to be a part of and help create an enjoyable work environment.

The key characteristics of a successful candidate are:

• A constructive attitude towards completing tasks & respect towards your colleagues is essential
• A great work ethic with pride in your duties & place of work, with a desire to learn & progress
• Previous experience as a CDP & a knowledge of Italian food is desirable, but not essential.
• Knowledge regarding the safety aspects of working in the kitchen is also desirable but training will be provided to those candidates that need their food, hygiene, and health & safety certificates to the level required for the position on offer.

We offer a competitive rate of pay starting with a salary of £26,000 pa plus an estimated £4000 pa variable TRONC, staff meals on duty, and training provided by some of the most talented chefs in the industry.

Maria G’s is Robin Gill’s, new Italian restaurant to be launched in Kensington’s, Warwick Lane in partnership with Pete Warden from LXA this June, offering what he calls “a true neighbourhood restaurant.”

The restaurant will be something of a nod to the time the chef spent working in southern Italy, at Marina Del Cantone, a small beach village along the Amalfi coast, where he spent some time during his training years.
