Luminary Bakery is an award-winning bakery empowering women who have faced social and economic disadvantage. Producing beautiful baked goods, wedding and celebration cakes, artisan coffee, Letterbox Brownies and much more – Luminary is designed to offer opportunities for women to build a future for themselves. Luminary has been featured in Vogue, Waitrose, Vanity Fair, The Evening Standard and more, and are lucky to count Stella McCartney, ASOS, Microsoft and many others as clients.

By investing in and releasing women to realise their dreams, through training, employment and community – we aim to break cycles of poverty, violence & disadvantage once and for all.

We have two cafes at present, based in Camden and Stoke Newington, and we have big ambitions to open more, employ more women and become a well-known bakery brand across the UK. We’d love you to consider joining us on this journey!

We are on the look out for a Head Baker to run a bakery kitchen and manage a small team of bakers – including graduates of the Luminary training programme – to produce the whole Luminary range of artisan baked goods, from beautiful artisan wedding and celebration cakes to our famous Letterbox Brownies, ensuring quality, consistency and efficiency at all times.
