We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who want to develop both personally and professionally in our dynamic, independent Soho restaurant. Some relevant experience is preferred but certainly not essential as we are far more concerned about work ethic, positive energy and a willingness to learn.

If you have a passion for food, drink and giving great hospitality we want to meet you. As a member of the FoH team at Paradise you’ll have the opportunity to train on multiple sections including the floor, bar and hosting. You’ll be serving exciting contemporary Sri Lankan dishes from a regularly changing menu, as well as pouring low intervention wine and mixing high-end cocktails. As part of a small team, you’ll have a real opportunity to shape the overall direction of the Paradise brand.

This is a great role for someone who wants to grow into a more senior position as the business looks to expand.

We need someone:

  • Who is utterly passionate about food, drink and customer experience, ideally with an interest in Asian food cultures
  • Ideally with previous experience service experience in fast-paced, high quality restaurants
  • With an interest in cocktail creation and low intervention wines
  • Who cares about our guest’s journey, ensuring our brand values and service behaviours are delivered consistently with attention to detail
  • Who can demonstrate an up to date and in depth understanding of the hospitality industry and trends
  • Who’s willing to help us develop our brand through hard work and creative input
  • Who can contribute towards a working culture that others want to be a part of
  • Who above all is eager to learn

Venue

Paradise has been open since December 2019 and immediately made an impact on the central London dining scene. It received glowing reviews from restaurant critics including Marina O’Loughlin and William Sitwell within the first few months of launching, and after just a year of trading went on to receive a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide as well as being listed in the UK’s Top 100 restaurants.

Inspired by the bistros of Colombo and Galle, Paradise brings the essence of modern Sri Lanka to Soho’s Rupert Street strip.

Our food, drink, design and hospitality is inspired by the incessant energy of Colombo’s streets; the city’s charming edginess and the sprawling metropolis as it encroaches on jungle, beach and sea.

Contemporary curries, breads, hoppers and short eats intended for sharing are based on family recipes and modernised with an ingredient -led approach. We are totally committed to our food ethos: where it’s from, how it’s produced, how we cook it and how it’s served.
