Lifestyle opportunity! – Venue Manager – The Kin Kin Hotel , Queensland , Australia

Are you a proven venue start-up professional? Do you love great design, curating boutique hospitality experiences, and enjoy outstanding food in a unique country environment?  If you also like a lifestyle of sunshine and surfing – even better!

    About Kin Kin Hotel:

30 minutes from the world famous beaches of Noosa in Queensland, we’ve relaunched the Kin Kin Hotel and have already been tipped by The Australian this year as “One of 6 regional pubs to watch.”

Nestled in the heart of the Noosa hinterland, The Kin Kin Hotel is also more than a hospitality venue – it’s a community hub. We’re committed to genuine hospitality, artisanal food offerings, and fostering meaningful connections. Our goal is to slow down, reconnect with traditions, and redefine rural hospitality.

The  multi dining venue has freshly baked pastries and coffee available in the morning followed by two dining and drinking experiences. The heritage pub menu is available in the main bar, beer garden and garden pergola, but  with the addition of the soon to be launched Wood Shed restaurant, we will house a fine dining menu with exceptional wines, in front of an open fire kitchen.  All supported by an established small market garden and animal husbandry for the inhouse butchery.

    The Role:

We are seeking a passionate Venue Manager with proven experience in the boutique hospitality industry, to participate in the next growth phase of this classic Australian Hotel operation.

You need to be experienced in launching and starting a high end hospitality offering, that currently includes a fine dining experience in our open fire restaurant; boutique accommodation; and we will also look for you to launch the private events side of the business in conjunction with the accommodation.

You will oversee daily operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences through quality service and attention to detail.

This is an opportunity of life-time to enjoy the lifestyle that the Sunshine Coast in Australia has to offer,  whilst embracing the natural beauty, culture and community values of the Noosa hinterland in Kin KIn, Queensland.

    What We’re Looking For:

The rustic yet sophisticated food offering at The Kin Kin Hotel is led by executive chef Oscar Holgado who trained underneath Angela Hartnett, Marcus Wareing & Simon Rogan. Most recently Oscar,  honed the art of fire cooking and animal husbandry alongside Tom Adams at Coombeshead Farm in Cornwall.

We are currently open 4 days a week and the Venue Manager will oversee the full guest experience for both local, day tripping clientele and weekending guests.

You will be the face of the hotel, be the foundation for leading a small team, all whilst engaging the local community in this next exciting chapter of expansion to redefine rural hospitality in Australia.

    You will need to have:

Proven leadership experience in hospitality or hotel management.
Passion for community-driven service and rural tourism.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
An eye for detail and commitment to quality.
Experience in event coordination and fostering guest engagement.
Ability to cultivate a positive and inclusive work culture.
You can connect the dots between the role you play in our business, customer experience and revenue growth which allows you to deliver exceptional outcomes
You are inherently motivated which ensures you to stay on top of your game, allowing you to create a variable offering which is unique to Kin Kin
You are self-directed and enjoy working independently and autonomously
You are an exceptional leader and mentor that motivates the small team you lead to deliver great outcomes that continually enhances the customer experience

    Why Join Kin Kin Hotel:

Be part of a project that revitalises a historic hinterland destination.
Lead in a setting that values sustainability, heritage, and community.
Work with a team dedicated to excellence in hospitality and service.
4 day working week, leading to great life balance, with the nearby beaches, surf, hiking and mountain biking.
Accommodation can be available as part of a package.
Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
