We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our intimate team in Clapton. At Mambow, we are leading the charge in London for modern Malaysian cuisine, whilst also serving an ever changing list of juicy natural wines. We are passionate about using high quality produce and providing an excellent experience to our customers. We keep our working hours sensible and encourage a good life/work balance. As we look to grow the business, there is plenty of room to expand within this role!

You would ideally have:

– 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, in the hospitality industry
– A passion for East/Southeast Asian cuisine and low-intervention wines
– A positive and approachable leadership style that inspires and supports the team
– Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to shine in a fast-paced environment
– Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences

Mambow was founded in 2020, through supper clubs and pop-ups we have been showcasing the deep flavours of Malaysian cuisine. In June 2022, we started operating as a market stall concept in Market Peckham, serving Malaysian sharing plates and pairing it with an ever-evolving list of natural wines. We are now based in Clapton, in an initimate 40 seat restaurant. We are a small team all of which are passionate about Asian cuisine. As well as this, we are all incredibly friendly, supportive, and positive towards one another.

We are extremely passionate about Malaysian cuisine and educating the public about the intricacies and flavours of our dishes. Having said this, our core foundation is collaboration within the team by learning each other’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing us to work cohesively. We offer a flexible work environment and encourage all members of the team to communicate openly about their wants and needs.
