Front of House, The Water House Project

We’re looking for that special person to join us in our new home on the Regents canal in Bethnal Green / Hackney. We’re looking for an experienced Front of house with a good knowledge of food and wine, comfortable with engaging with our guests, passionate, warm, friendly and organised.

The Water House Project is a different type of restaurant. We offer an intimate dining experience for just 32 guests each evening, with a monthly changing 9 course tasting menu. Our menus are paired with low intervention wines made by small scale producers from across Europe. We’re open 4 nights a week, Wednesday – Saturday.

At the beginning of each month we gather as a team one evening to cook and taste our new menu and try our new wines. This is such an important part of what we do, it’s an opportunity for us to all relax and spend time with each other, but it’s also valuable in getting our menus just right and ensuring that we all have an input into what we create.

A typical shift begins at 3pm and finishes around 11.30pm. Our service style is warm and professional, we encourage a close connection between our team and guests. Chefs as well as our front of house team serve each course and explain table side each dish.

We’re currently a team of 7 aiming to achieve special things. We’re looking for that final missing piece, could this be you?

All gratuity and tips are paid in addition to your salary. We do not and have never used a tronc system to pay salaries.
