Nightlife Manager- NoMad London

NoMad takes residence in the heart of Covent Garden inside the historic, grade II-listed building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court.  As the NoMad’s first presence outside the United States, NoMad London will continue to offer a culture of gracious hospitality combined with understated elegance and comfort.

THE BUILDING

The iconic 19th century building will be thoughtfully transformed into restaurants, bars and a ninety-one room hotel with much of the original architectural features preserved. The building’s original Magistrates’ Courtroom will be reimagined as a space for private events.  A collaboration with New York-based interior design firm, the design draws inspiration from the original materials, colour palette and elaborate architecture of the building while exploring the relationship between the New York and London art scenes.

THE ROLE

The Nightlife Manager will be directly working with the Bar Director to create one London’s destination Hotel Bars.  They will be the primary point of contact for anything involving the new hotel lounge to be launch this autumn, and will not only be responsible for day to day operations and service, but also be involved in the evolution of the space, which includes, special events, pop ups, performances and organizing programing.  In addition, the Nightlife Manager will be a host for all guests entering the premise, personally guiding their individual experience while assisting all the floor staff when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively leading the team in keeping high standards of service and quality; manage the floor staff.
  • Work with the guest relations team to ensure an even flow of guest during the evening
  • Manage the lounge team, including hiring staff and conducting performance reviews.
  • Assess development needs and train floor staff; communicate company culture, standards, and procedures to line staff
  • Assist in planning promotional activities such as guest shifts and lectures
  • Plan and execute large cocktail events with Bar Manager
  • Be the contact point for artists and agencies, booking talents when necessary.

Idea candidate must have a passion for cocktail bar and night life industry.  Previous management experience in a fast pace and refined cocktail lounge is preferred.  Candidate should have insight into current trend of nightlife and entertainments.
