Sous Chef, Piazza Italiana

Our award-winning and popular Restaurant situated in Bank has built in short time an excellent reputation for food, wine and service. We are looking for Chefs on all levels that can work in all sections and keep up with the high standards that this restaurant’s reputation is well known for. You will be working under the direction of the Head Chef and Brand Chef. Managing only the freshest seasonal produce available in the market helps our team create a fantastic Italian menu.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Supporting the Executive Chef and Head Chef in the general running of the kitchen
• Managing Rotas, Job interviews, Onboarding new employees and handling disciplinary HR
issues
• Training junior chef’s up to set standards
• Organising food delivery orders and schedules, delivery quality control check, dealing with
food suppliers
• Completing food hygiene documents to comply with the law and writing environmental
health reports when necessary
• Managing inventory and keeping stock control
• Being the voice and the face of the kitchen when communicating with any team member in
the moment of the
higher rank absence
• Establishing strong relationship with all the department staff
• Taking responsibility for technical elements of cuisine
• Leading a team of chefs in cooking and preparing meals up to set standards
• Being able to replace any Chef de Partie position when needed
• Ensuring strict adherence of the food hygiene regulations
• Maintaining strong team relationships and spirit
• Supervise performance the activity of the team members, ensuring the maximum activity
and job effectiveness
• Perform other administrative tasks as will be requested by supervisors
