About Us:

Would you like to work on the supply side of the restaurant trade? Do you want to learn more about natural wine and work closely with the people behind the wines.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, confident account manager based in London. This is an exciting role for someone who wants to learn more about the wine importing business and work with winemakers and restaurant clients.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine and the stories behind them. Ancestrel is dedicated to offering good quality wine, which is accessible for everyone. We collaborate with our producers to begin projects with the aim to bring better quality wine without additives or intervention to restaurants, shop shelves and tables across the UK.

This is an entry level job opportunity within a start-up business. We are looking for a professional and highly driven individual with customer service experience, someone who can bring a well organised and structured approach to sales management and training. We aspire to work with only the best customers and therefore need a tenacious individual that can inspire sales growth; by selecting those customers where there is a clear commitment to quality.

A big part of this role is to know your customer and inspire them with your knowledge and passion for the wine.

Job Description:

• Assist and offer suggestions to clients when purchasing wine from our portfolio
• You will need to be comfortable talking about wines in restaurants and shops etc to support with onsite staff training.
• Host tastings session for front of house staff on the wines.
• Visiting clients all over the UK, inspiring their teams with the wines we have to offer.
• Display both passion and knowledge when communicating with customers.
• Opening new wholesale accounts and driving new sales including; restaurants and retail.
• Developing and improving relationships with existing customers and drive business growth in the UK.
• Keeping clients up to date on Ancestrel news and recent landings.
• Be a great ambassador for Ancestrel and the winemakers we represent.
• Overseeing customer orders as well as helping to manage their expectations.
• When mistakes happen act quickly to problem solve, giving them the confidence in our ability to solve any issues.
• Illustrate the ability to work and consistently deliver to targets and KPIs…..

The Ideal Candidate:

• Great relationship building skills and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different styles and situations.
• Sometimes be able to make themselves available to help customers out of office hours.
• Enjoy working in an agile, flexible working context.
• Have creative problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen.
• Strong learning agility.
• Demonstrate a passion for food and wine
