Front of House, The Water House Project
To apply please email [email protected]
The Role
We’re looking for a new Front of House team member to join us in a dynamic, hands-on role that blends service, organisation, and guest care. At The Water House Project, we pride ourselves on delivering warm, professional, and knowledgeable hospitality — the kind that makes guests feel genuinely welcome, comfortable, and curious to return.
This is a multi-tasking role suited to someone calm under pressure and detail-oriented — it’s an opportunity to become part of a tight-knit team that values creativity, integrity, and collaboration. We care deeply about what we do, from the sourcing of ingredients and wine, to the atmosphere we create and the way we welcome our guests. Our guests often comment on the genuine warmth and attentiveness of our team, and many return time and again.
We work closely across the kitchen and front-of-house teams — there are no egos here, just a shared commitment to doing things properly. We believe in a progressive, positive working environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions, and grow in their role.
If you’re looking to join a restaurant that combines creativity with precision, and warmth with professionalism, we’d love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include:
•Welcoming and hosting guests with warmth, confidence, and attention to detail
•Building genuine relationships with our many returning guests
•Managing floor plans and coordinating evening service
•Organising and communicating dietary requirements clearly with the kitchen team
•Serving food and wine, including thoughtful table-side explanations
•Supporting opening and closing duties
•Maintaining a clean, well-run dining room throughout service
What We Offer
•4-day working week (Wed–Sat)
•45 hours per week
•£35–40k annual salary
•Paid overtime
•5.6 weeks paid holiday
•Family-style staff meals
•A supportive, collaborative environment with a focus on development and healthy work/life balance
•Full-time and part-time applications considered
About You
•Experience in similar quality restaurants
•A strong team player with excellent communication skills
•Passionate about food, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences
Additional Info
In line with the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK. Proof of eligibility will be required during the recruitment process.
