    Under The Table – Restaurant Manager Position

    Under The Table is a young, vibrant & bustling modern bistro in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town, with warmth, quality and engaging service at the heart of everything we do. We strive to build relationships with our local community and cherish both our regular guests and those visiting for the first time. Our passion for food and drinks is central to everything we do; we have developed a menu that changes weekly and/or daily and a wine and drinks list that focusses on Europe but marries classic and less well recognised regions and countries in an approachable fashion.

    We are looking for an astute, positive and dynamic individual who loves to lead from the front and help others achieve success and fulfilment in our exciting industry. As the business grows and develops the perfect person will be given the scope to mould and improve the restaurant and team, working closely with a confident and experienced Head Chef and team of Directors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    ·       Lead, drive and inspire the Front of House Team, motivating and developing those around you

    ·       Manage and maintain daily operations, contributing to menu decisions in real time and ensuring the maintenance of high standards

    ·       Focus and improve on daily/weekly/monthly financials, including costs and overheads, staffing costs and GP%

    ·       Train, recruit and feedback to staff on performance, helping to build a positive culture with balance and enthusiasm

    ·       Ensure bookings oversight and maintain/develop a positive reputation for customer interaction throughout the restaurant journey

    ·       Build on events, interacting with guests and clients to ensure they always have an exceptional experience with us

    ·       Regularly feedback to Owner/Directors on the performance of the business and the team that are at the centre of it

    ·       Bring a broad depth of knowledge on ingredients, dishes and drinks that inspire and excite you.

    ·       Manage and monitor wet stock holding

    What we can offer you:

    ·       £32,000 – £35,000 salary dependent on experience
