PR Account Director, Lotus
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PR Account Manager to join the team at Lotus – an International PR, Management and Communications Agency.

Skills and Person specification
Have a minimum of 2 years experience within the PR industry with a background in food, lifestyle, consumer/product or travel.
Essential requirements of this role are:
• Pre-existing contacts in key publications and titles
• UK Restaurant Opening Experience
• Ability to network, meet new contacts and develop and maintain existing relationships
• Good teamwork, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Strong copywriting skills for writing compelling press releases
• Exceptional communication skills in order to work with a wide range of contacts at all levels
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Food and Hospitality industry
• Self-confidence, drive, competence and a willingness to learn
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope under pressure
• Creativity, imagination and initiative
• The ability to think strategically, plan and execute successful PR campaigns
• The capacity to prioritise tasks and projects effectively.
Responsibilities
As a public relations consultant, you’ll need to:
• Work as part of a team where you’ll plan, develop and implement communication strategies
• Build strong relationships and networks with clients, local and global media.
• Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients
• Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media
• Collate and analyse media coverage
• Manage and update information and engage with users on social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook
• Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings
