Job Description:

Our Junior Account Managers work in a varied and exciting role within our Restaurants team working across all aspects of PR activities as well as managing client accounts, reporting to Account and Company Directors. The opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to consolidate their understanding of PR whilst expanding their press contacts and knowledge, as well as working closely with clients and their teams to deliver results and report on these.

As well as solid experience in the PR sphere, we are looking for someone with a passion for networking with top tier journalists with a love of food, drink and going out as well as having a good relationship with our clients. The successful candidate will be well presented, organised, and will have an innate understanding of key journalists, influencers and the restaurant industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Secure a minimum of three pieces of prominent press coverage, per client, per month
  • Carry out three tangible pieces of marketing, per client, per month; or, if not appropriate, supplement with two further pieces of press coverage
  • Minute every client meeting and present to your Director before sending to the client
  • Oversee sending an activity report to each respective client on the last Friday of every month
  • Ensure that press coverage and other items are sent to a client in a timely manner
  • Ensure each client receives sufficient time and attention to achieve the required results, as set out from time to time by the Directors
  • Write good quality and grammatically correct press releases
  • Develop and maintain press contacts through frequent communication and face-to-face meetings
  • Conduct at least two meetings with a journalist, per client, per month
  • Research forthcoming features by regular proactive contact with the media
  • Meet regularly with your managers and directors to plan strategy, discuss opportunities, and relay achievements
  • Meet regularly with your respective account executive and/ or intern to plan, implement, and monitor internal and external activity
  • Ensure that your respective account executive and/ or intern discharges their duties in a responsible, timely and professional manner
  • Attain and maintain the requisite IT skills to efficiently utilise the company’s office hardware and software packages

Client Account Management

  • Develop and maintain good client relations at all times
  • Be a key point of liaison for up to 12 accounts within the Restaurants team
  • Monitor influencer social media channels for client coverage as well as conducting extensive research tasks for an understanding of best practices in the industry
  • Check meeting agendas and post-meeting recaps and attending monthly meetings to present
  • Call clients at least twice a week and update them
  • Feed into monthly reports for clients
