    Cromwell Place Café, nestled within the vibrant Cromwell Place—a hub for art, culture, and community—is embarking on a journey of transformation. With a dynamic relaunch planned for 2025, we’re evolving from a beloved café into a  day-to-night dining destination, offering  breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    What you will do:

    As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in that area meet the restaurant’s high-quality standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an exceptional culinary experience for our guests.  As part of the team you will be delivering dishes for the restauranta s well as catered events at Cromwell Place.

    Your key areas of responsibilities:

    Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with menu specifications and recipes provided by the Head Chef.
    Supervise and coordinate activities of junior kitchen staff in your section, including Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters.
    Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly stored and maintained.
    Monitor food stock levels and communicate inventory needs to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
    Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations during food preparation, cooking, and storage.
    Assist in menu development by suggesting new dishes, ingredients, or cooking techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
    Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate timings for food preparation and service, ensuring all dishes are served promptly and at the correct temperature.
    Support the Head Chef in training junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation standards, and kitchen procedures.
    Proactively address and resolve issues that arise in your section during service.
    Maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment in the kitchen.

    What’s good to have:
    Demonstrated experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
    Experience in either Baking and bakery or events and catering events.
    Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
    Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
    Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality dish preparation and presentation.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and chefs.
    Certification in culinary arts or hospitality management is preferred.
    Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
