Since opening in July 2022 The Baring has received high critical acclaim & recognition from some of the industry’s finest. With exceptional national reviews from Grace Dent & Giles Coren, along with coming in at 23rd in the country & winning Highest New Entry at the Top 50 Gastro Pub Awards we are looking to expand our team in the New Year as we embark on an exciting new project.
The Baring is located on a residential street in Islington, just off Regent’s Canal, and is defined by simple yet considered cooking, promoting superb ingredients and seasonal produce, against a backdrop of low intervention wines and independent UK breweries.
We’re looking for a chefs of all levels to join our established & thriving core team at The Baring, and also recruiting for a new project opening in spring 2025.
As a business we are in our relatively early stages, but continue to go from strength to strength. We never want to stand still & have every intention of expanding the business with our team at the core. Opportunities for growth within the business are huge.
As a company we place staff well-being at the forefront of what we do. Ideas and innovation are encouraged. Our salaried staff work a 48 hour week with particular attention paid to life balance and consecutive days off to ensure downtime from the business. We are closed for Christmas & New Year to give everyone a well earned rest. We’re also closed Sunday nights & Mondays.
