The Role

To drive business development with key focus on customer service whilst maximising growth within the existing account base. 

The overall aim is to raise the profile of Sustainable Wine Solutions by Borough Wines by developing strong relationships with the London on and off trade.

Responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with customers, understanding them and their consumers by identifying gaps for our wines that add value to their business.
  • Aim is to retain their business and ultimately to increase their current spend.
  • Grow sales by achieving agreed monthly sales targets.
  • Report on ongoing performance.
  • Staying within agreed budgets for both samples and expenses.
  • Ensure that when our winemakers are in the UK they have a full program of visits with both existing and prospect customers.
  • Be an enthusiastic Ambassador of Borough Wines in the trade.

Requirements

  • An exceptional knowledge of the London trade - Wine Shops, Bars, Restaurants, Hotels, Indie Specialists.
  • An understanding of Wine on Tap and Bottle Return as a concept
  • A sustainability enthusiast
  • WSET advanced level qualified.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with confidence both internally and externally.
  • Genuine passion for wine and a knowledge of food and wine pairing.
  • Passion for Borough Wines, our products and goals.
  • Ability to complete a detailed price proposal and write a balanced wine list.
  • Analytical and numerate with good attention to detail.
  • Computer literate – excel particularly.
