Are you a passionate, experienced & skilled chef who has significant experience in running restaurant kitchens? We have an exciting new position available to lead our BOH team for someone who is dedicated to delivering quality food, great guest experiences, and driving team development.

About Us

Sunday in Brooklyn is a higher popular, well-established New York Restaurant, which is due to open their first international site, within the heart of London’s cosmopolitan and multicultural neighbourhood of Notting Hill. A go-to brunch spot for locals and an award-winning menu, this restaurant has successfully used modern concepts to create a casual fine dining experience to all, with a deep sense of hospitality.

What you will need to be a successful applicant:

  • Significant experience in restaurant kitchens
  • At least 5 years’ kitchen management experience with at least 2 years as a senior sous or head chef
  • Demonstrable success in managing a kitchen team with experience of consistently delivering quality food whilst maintaining appropriate margins
  • To be a strong, capable leader who is able to recruit and develop a strong BOH team
  • To have strong network of great suppliers
  • Ability to work within brand guide lines on menus and recipes whilst still bringing in their own flair and passion
  • Ability to make good decisions in regards to the business and the varied situations that arise in fast paced hospitality venues
  • Competent user of IT, including Microsoft Office, Stock Systems
  • Understanding of H&S, FSMS and similar to ensure all required standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are complied with for both team and guests alike
  • To be a confident, respectful communicator; able to clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders in an engaging and collaborative way
  • To have a tangible and infectious passion for food and hospitality
  • To be a team player who is flexible with availability dependant on the needs of the business. Shift, weekend and evening working will be required.
  • To be self-motivated, able to work independently with your own initiative.
  • To be a Brand Ambassador, aligned with the restaurant’s values : have talent, passion, be nurturing, and striving for excellence in all that you do.
