Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Restaurant Manager whose scope of responsibility is service in the dining room. This role requires someone that enjoys the act of serving customers and that has the kind of personality and temperament that can lead and inspire a team, orchestrate the range of tasks at hand prior to and during service, and do so with a sense of fun and good humour. In addition, the role will involve tasks relating to stock control, staff training, EPOS management, cashing up, as well the update and development of both our operations manual and our food and beverage programme. Above all, we are looking for someone that has made a commitment to a career in the hospitality industry and that has the potential to grow within our company to all levels of senior management, not just at Brilliant Corners, but within our other projects such as Giant Steps and Idle Moments, as well as those planned for the future.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should:

• be confident, personable, diplomatic, and able to inspire the incumbent talents of the front-of-house team;
• ideally have experience in front-of-house operations at a busy London restaurant;
• ideally live locally, and be in touch with the nature of the clientele in Hackney;
• be willing to grow within the role and take on further responsibilities;
• have a distinct interest in food, music, and wine!
