Social Media Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing marketing team, to work with our Digital Marketing Manager to help define our social and influencer strategies. You’ll be part of a broader marketing and customer focused team, working collaboratively to reach and engage new and existing customers. Social is our always on broadcast channel, but it is also an opportunity to have a two-way dialog with our customers.

You will be a social media guru, with proven experience of leading and delivering organic social media plans and strategies, ideally in a consumer, hospitality or e-commerce brand.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and present the organic social media strategy in-line with the marketing objectives and seasonal calendar in partnership with the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Manage all social media planning, daily scheduling, communications and reporting.
  • Plan organic content across our UK Instagram, Facebook & Twitter pages.
  • Work with the creative team, the Digital Marketing Manager and wider marketing team to brief in social assets needed for all organic content
  • Work closely with our regional restaurant teams outside of London to ensure regional communications are shared on the Manchester & Edinburgh social channels.
  • Plan content in line with the brand visuals and tone of voice to grow the community, increase engagement and develop organic brand presence.
    Introduce creative campaigns to encourage customer engagement and improve content.
  • Propose partnerships, influencer strategies, competitions to implement across the marketing calendar.
  • Compile regular competitor reviews and analysis.
  • Day to day community management of Facebook, Instagram & Twitter channels, engaging and creating discussions.
  • Lead social strategy for brand campaigns ensuring complete cohesion with PR and email communications.
  • Drive innovation and explore all new social media opportunities such as new channels and planning campaigns.
  • Explore and develop an influencer marketing strategy working with our external PR team.
  • Report into the Digital Marketing Manager, producing Monthly and weekly reports on performance, suggesting optimisation and presenting insights to maximise engagement and evolve the strategy across all channels.

Skills and expectations:

  • 2 years’ experience in managing social media platforms or communities for brands.
  • Degree in digital communications, marketing, advertising, media, business and/or related fields.
  • You will be a social media guru, with proven experience of leading and delivering organic social media plans and strategies, ideally in a consumer, hospitality or e-commerce brand.
  • The ability to work autonomously to use your own initiative and being pro-active with support and guidance from the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Experience and confidence writing creative copy for digital purposes, ensuring an on-brand and consistent tone of voice.
  • Competent liaising with the wider teams to ensure content is both socially and business relevant, following cross-channel messaging such as email and blog content.
    Proficient in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube platforms as well as scheduling platforms.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate with an engaging tone.
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape and a passionate user of digital technologies with strong knowledge of social media, content strategy and influencer marketing.
  • A keen eye for flawless execution with the ability to execute projects on time and to work collaboratively in a team environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills to draw conclusions from data and insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written English and verbal skills.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated.
  • Ability to plan and work to a deadline with attention to detail.
