Position: Sous Chef
Annual salary: £40k-£42k Inc bonus
Lucky and Joy has been a staple neighbourhood spot in Clapton for nearly 6 years. Our food aims to capture the bold and vibrant flavours of Chinese regional cooking whilst celebrating the diversity of the country’s cuisines, produce and techniques.
Job description
We’re on the look out for a sous chef with a real passion for cooking. You’ll be running shifts, organising the kitchen and motivating and teaching the team.
Some key responsibilities…
– Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth services every evening
– R&D new dishes and assist head chef in menu planning for our ever changing menu
– Train and mentor the kitchen team
– Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
– Manage kitchen cleanliness and hygiene regulation responsibilities
Skills and Experience
– Proven experience in a CDP/Sous or managerial role
– A love for researching, developing and creating new dishes
– Passion for food and great service
– Ability to lead and motivate a team
