We are seeking an experienced and talented GENERAL MANAGER to head up the opening of our newest restaurant. An incredible opportunity for the right person looking to develop their managerial career and to be part of a rapidly expanding and exciting restaurant group. The Restaurant

Much loved Portuguese chef and restaurateur, Nuno Mendes, will open an exciting new restaurant in early 2022. The concept is inspired by the city Nuno grew up in, with a menu offering that draws on Lisbon’s rich culinary heritage, and an exclusive wine list that champions regions across Portugal.  Located in central Fitzrovia, the restaurant is inspired by the convivial atmosphere of traditional Portuguese restaurants, evolved to celebrate the dining culture at the heart of Lisbon today. The new restaurant will launch in collaboration with respected hospitality group, MJMK, who opened the critically acclaimed KOL, with Chef Patron Santiago Lastra, in 2020.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A hands-on, natural leader who can inspire and support a large Front of House team
  • Somebody who can confidently run the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
  • A manager who is responsible for restaurant financials, recruitment and health and safety
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager and/or somebody who is ready for career progression
  • An enthusiastic and proactive individual responsible for staff training and development
  • A passion for food, wine and service
  • A desire to create an incredible and intuitive dining experience for all our guest
  • To be able to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • A friendly, humble and considerate individual
  • Strong command of English language

About MJMK

MJMK was founded in March 2013 by Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes, operating some of London’s most exciting bar and restaurant concepts.  In 2018, MJMK opened their first flagship restaurant, Casa do Frango in London Bridge, taking inspiration from Marco’s southern Portuguese heritage.
