Padella is a family owned restaurant which opened in Borough Market in April 2010. We are opening our second restaurant and bakery in Shoreditch in February 2020.

Padella was the first in what has now become a stampede of new restaurant concepts serving only pasta, and our focus on making all our pasta dough and rolling it out by hand, every day has kept us at the front of the pack.

Padella Shoreditch will be the cultural and creative hub of what we do, with renowned Head Baker Stewart Rhys Bowen working with owner Tim Siadatan to create an artisan selection of Italian pastries to go alongside our sourdough bread, fresh pasta and daily created sauces and ragus.

Since we opened, Padella has been at the forefront of the movement of rigorously seasonal restaurants specialising in British produce and focusing exclusively on traditional, labour intensive cooking techniques – on the floor as well as in the kitchen, our standards are exceptionally high, and while it’s an enormously fun and enjoyable place to work, Padella is only for those who are passionate about customer service and delicious food, and who want to develop themselves.

We believe strongly in employee development and social responsibility; WSET Training and Personal Development Plans are put in place for all managers, and our Italian trips have now become “rail only” to offset the environmental impact of our travel.

Owners Tim and Jordan opened Padella because they felt strongly that delicious, seasonal food shouldn’t only be available to those who could afford to eat at expensive restaurants, and that is still what drives us today. We’d love to meet you and find out if your passion and standards match our own.
