General Manager, Freespirit Pubs

We are looking for a passionate, experienced General Manager to lead one of the younger members of our Freespirit Family, The Seven Stars, Marsh Baldon.

Placed in the picturesque village of Marsh Baldon, The Seven stars is an idyllic country pub looking to inspire and reinvent what mealtimes are all about. Head chef, Patrick, creates exceptional, small sharing plates – no fuss, no fanfare – just delicious flavours, exceptional service, and cosy surroundings. Nestled close to the bustling historic city of Oxford, this cosy village inn is perfectly situated if you are looking for a new, diverse challenge, outside of the big smoke.

So, what are we looking for in a team leader?

• Someone who brings their own personality to work each day
• a depth of knowledge of the industry and restaurant operations
• someone who can lead from the front and drive the business both financially and operationally
• Be a strategic thinker
• Enjoy working as a part of a team and dealing with the challenges this presents

Main Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train and nurture their team to success
• Report to their operations manager and Head Office
• Day to Day operation of the restaurant and pub
• Stay one step ahead and always strive to improve the business
• FOH Rotas/payroll
