Barista / Front of house

Part time/Full-time

We are looking for a highly motivated, efficient Barista to join us at The Monocle Café in Marylebone, London. For this role your priority will be exceptional customer service, great coffee and an overall fantastic attention to detail. You ideally have 1+ year working the hospitality industry, are a team-player, are punctual and reliable and open to working on weekends. An interest in print and our brand is a plus. 

Responsibilities:

Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all items on the menu & drunks list, including any specials or new items
Ensure all café equipment is maintained correctly and that accurate maintenance schedules are recorded and logged
To ensure the satisfaction of all customers by ensuring that service is prompt, efficient and delivered to the highest standards.
To deal with all customer enquiries in a polite and courteous manner.
To assist in the planning and execution of any special functions or events
To ensure a safe and hygienic environment is maintained for customers, staff and visitors and report any defects immediately to the Café Manager and/or supervisor
To ensure that all staff maintain high standard of personal hygiene and that individual and the operation meet statutory food safety standards 
To ensure that each day’s sales are correctly and accurately reconciled in line with the electronic-point-of-sale report and credit card terminal.
