    We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and career driven Sous Chef to join our team with The Rick Stein Group, in Cornwall and beyond. 

    Our 10 restaurants vary in size and style, from our flagship The Seafood Restaurant, in Padstow, serving the finest, locally caught seafood, to our beachside takeout at Fistral Beach, Newquay.  

    We pride ourselves on our ability to develop some of the most talented chefs within the UK, with many of our Head Chefs having developed their careers with us, or have gone on to work in some of the very best UK restaurants. 

    Our menus are a reflection of Rick’s passion for serving the freshest fish, simply cooked and taking inspiration from his travels all over the world.  

    You’ll be a crucial part of the site management team, leading, developing and inspiring the wider kitchen team, whilst supporting your Head Chef to ensure that Rick’s dishes, vision and desire for quality delivers a fantastic dining experience for our guests. 

    We are offering an attractive salary up to £30,000 per annum (depending on site), plus a generous weekly tips package that includes no NI deductions, and tips being paid during annual leave. Our standard Sous Chef contract is for 45 hours over 5 days, but we are working hard to ensure that our kitchen teams achieve the perfect work life balance, and so would encourage you to let us know if you would prefer a more flexible arrangement.
