About Us:

Lyon’s is an independent neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar specialising in sustainable seafood and organic wines. Lyon’s serves creative small plates with a menu that changes weekly. The restaurant is vibrant and busy with a lively atmosphere. The service is warm, fun and engaging with a team that are knowledgeable and passionate. The wine list specialises in organic or biodynamic wines from a wide range of small producers.

Job Description:

The position would entail working closely with the owner and the head chef in running the business on a day-to-day level. Developing a team of humble, loving, passionate and knowledgeable service professionals that look to exceed expectations every time. Work with and source suppliers to develop an interesting and unique beverage program from wines, beers and cocktails.

A minimum of 2 years management experience is required in a high-volume, high-standard restaurant.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Will have a true passion and knowledge for food and a love of wine, previous experience as a sommelier is ideal but is not essential.
• Lyon’s is a family run; neighbourhood restaurant and the ideal applicant will possess a fun-loving nature and be creative and innovative.
• Experience in training and developing a team is required as is a hands-on approach to the business and operations.
• Will possess a strong eye for detail
• Lyon’s is a busy, fast paced restaurant which requires a manager who is incredibly driven.
