Job Purpose:

To delight our customers every time through the communication and delivery of bespoke events and private hire opportunities and to support the success of the business through the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy and a proactive approach to driving sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delights our customers by delivering service excellence and demonstrating behaviours in line with our vision and values
  • Engages with our customers and acts as an ambassador for Urban Pubs & Bars
  • Takes ownership for dealing with customer queries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Supports their team members and communicates well with the whole team
  • Deals with enquiries, bookings and requests in a timely and professional manner whilst actively promoting the business, maximising turnover and delivering service excellence
  • Takes ownership for their own development and is willing to learn new skills and explore opportunities to continually improve and progress

  • Assists the General Manager in identifying potential opportunities and products to maximise sales and enhance the customer experience
  • Takes responsibility for managing, promoting and marketing the venues to our customers through the delivery of a digital and social marketing strategy
  • Maintains industry awareness understanding the competitive market and takes appropriate action to ensure own pub stays ahead in the market place
  • Conducts routine competitor reviews (direct and indirect) to ensure our offer is competitive and standards are well maintained
  • Understands our customer needs (occasion, budgets, expectations, confidence, trust) and actions appropriately
  • Maximises occupancy by best use of all areas of the business, identifying opportunities and time slots to increase sales
  • Obtains supplier support for big events from Urban Pubs & Bars nominated suppliers

Our Processes:

  • Through the effective use of business processes and systems, manage business performance against financial targets, business risk compliance and standards
  • Develops and implements an ongoing strategy and quarterly marketing plan to maximise private hire opportunities and customer engagement with marketing streams
  • Supports and delivers pre and post shift briefings to ensure effective communication of the marketing strategy and events to all team members
  • Manages use of the tills and handling of deposits in line with company standards
  • Maintains an ongoing sales plan and evaluates activities to ensure they add to the profit of the business
  • Oversees the booking system for private hire areas using a streamline process, delivering consistency and training the team accordingly
