Chef de Partie, Lahpet
Lahpet is one of London’s only restaurants to specialise in authentic Burmese cooking.Aiming to shine a light on this relatively untapped cuisine, Lahpet has been popularising traditional Burmese cooking by presenting Londoners with Burmese staple dishes and regional specialities, with a hint of refinement and contemporary flare.
We’re seeking an upbeat, dynamic and highly competent chef who wishes to learn a new cuisine, to join our Shoreditch team with a view to becoming Sous Chef ahead of our new West End site opening later this year.
What we’re looking for in candidates:
- Demonstrable leadership qualities in supporting, training and working as part of a team of chefs
- Strong organisational skills
- A passion for and wide knowledge of fresh produce
- An acute eye for detail
- A forward thinking and innovative approach
- High standards in food hygiene and health and safety
- An interest, understanding and passion for South East Asian cooking would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.
