General Manager, The Good Egg - Stoke Newington

We’re looking for an experienced manager who is ready to put their stamp on this well loved, critically acclaimed restaurant. You’ll have a real passion for providing hospitality, serving your guests great food and a desire to bring your personality to the restaurant and the team – always making sure that our customers have an amazing experience every time they join us. You’ll be heading up a business that places a huge emphasis on stellar service and a kitchen that works only with the best locally + ethically sourced ingredients to create dishes inspired by the street food of Tel Aviv + the Jewish delis of NYC + Montreal.

YOUR TEAM:

You’ll head up a friendly, fun + dedicated kitchen and FoH team – personality, energy + exceptional people skills are essential to successfully running our restaurant, with a terrace and an open kitchen bar where guests love to see how we prepare our dishes.

YOUR NEW ROLE AS GM:

• Working directly with the senior team and exec chef to maintain a seasonal, exciting and vibrant menu and service style.
• Running twice-daily briefings + debriefs with FoH + kitchen teams to ensure excellent communication, comprehensive food/drinks knowledge + smooth services
• Maintaining a firm grip on restaurant’s financial performance in relation to sales, staff costs and GP targets
• Proactively seeking opportunities to increase revenue

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

• You have previous experience in a comparable role at a quality-driven co.
• You have the ability to lead + inspire your team
• You’re meticulously organised + punctual
• You’re adept at implementing + maintaining systems and training
• You’re positive + approachable, firm + fair
• You’re passionate about food + London’s restaurant scene
• You’re both business + people-minded
