Assistant General Manager & Front of House, The Grand Duchess

About Us:

London Shell Co. has fast become one of the UK's leading fish restaurants.  Set on board an elegant canal boat moored in Paddington, diners cruise to Camden Lock & back.  In June the team are opening their second site, The Grand Duchess, on a permanently moored boat in Paddington Central.  The ethos will continue to be the same: supreme fish sourced daily from Cornish waters and an idiosyncratic wine list that focuses on sparkling wine.  We are a small and experienced team looking for like-minded people to join us.

Job Description:

Assistant GM:

We are looking for an individual with at least one years’ experience in front of house management.  This is an opportunity to step up into the full general managers role within a year and help design and implement systems that will help build our restaurant for years to come.

We are looking for someone who shares the values of London Shell Co and its founding members.  We never compromise on the quality of our food and drink and ensure that this is also reproduced in our service.  The assistant GM will be responsible for arranging training, incentivising the team and setting the standards for our site.

Other responsibilities are the rota, labour costs maintaining customer relations.

We pride ourselves on very high levels of personable service and we are looking for someone to really drive that and help motivate the team.

Front of House Roles:

We are looking for bright and energetic new team members with a passion for food and drink.  Both London Shell Co. projects are set in beautiful and unique spaces and an appreciation of this is very important to us.
