Elysia is the pioneering UK catering company dedicated to prepare delicious breakfasts and canapes from beautiful surplus produce.
We work with growers and producers to create a market for rejected crop and ensure nothing is wasted. Since Sophie Andre started the company the catering activity early 2017, we have built a trusted brand known for the quality of our menus and service and we are now ready to scale up.

The company is based in Spa Terminus, Bermondsey in the arch of one of our fantastic suppliers, Oliveology. This is a converted Victorian Railway Arch (part of the old London and Greenwich railway line built in 1836). Spa Terminus is a collaboration of like-minded food producers with high quality speciality produce and positive ethical practices.

We are looking for a part-time chef (2-3 days a week) who has a special interest for food sustainability, seasonal cooking and canapes creation. Most of the events we cater for are evening receptions. We are looking for a chef who could come to the events on a regular basis to help the team and talk with the guests for sharing the ethos of the company and the story of the ingredients.
The Ideal Candidate:
The team is small but very dynamic and with high ambitions. Our aim is to develop the company internationally in 2020.
We are looking for a chef who is happy to take on a role where he/she can assume responsibility for every step of the food creation & service (sourcing / food prep / events service etc.). We are happy to give a lot of freedom, appreciate creativity and new initiatives. If you have ideas that you want to implement in line with the mission of the company - we want to value this.
And if you cycle, that's even better! Food pick-up and deliveries are done on our cargo bike.
