Consumer & Hospitality Corporate Finance Associate, CODE Consultancy

CODE Consultancy is a consumer and hospitality focused corporate finance and consultancy boutique, which has a strong track record and pipeline of deal activity. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a young, dynamic business while gaining significant buy-side and fundraising experience from a range of online retail, hospitality and F&B clients.

Job role

 

The job involves working closely with hospitality companies and their founders and supporting the management teams of other consumer led companies that we advise. Candidates will be expected to move quickly into a position of responsibility, day to day management of transactions and assignments as the company expands. Illustrative work streams include buy-side M&A for a rapidly expanding internet retail company and strategic, investment and fundraising analysis for highly scalable restaurant groups.

 

The role will assist and ultimately begin to lead on the following activities:

 

*Corporate finance services specifically within consumer and F&B sectors;

*Pitch documents and attending pitches;

*High level valuation;

*Building and maintaining cashflow projection models;

*Drafting Investment Memorandum and sales documents;

*Research and analysis of consumer and F&B sectors;

*Due diligence and data room management;

*Working with lawyers to complete legal documentation (i.e. SPAs);

*Hospitality advisory and fundraising for a range of start-up and more established restaurant companies.

 

The role requires:

 

*1-2 years post ACA Qualified, with circa 2 years M&A experience (buy side experience would be a positive);

*Experience of more than one deal cycle, ideally with exposure to all the key elements of a typical M&A transaction.

*A demonstrable passion and interest in consumer and hospitality sectors;

*Ability to build/maintain integrated P&L/Cashflow/BS models and overlay capital structures;

*Understanding of business valuations;

*Understanding of legal process of lower mid-market deal process and legals;

*Excellent organisational skills;

*Professional manner;

*Fluent in English;

*Proficient on emails and Microsoft excel;

*You should be commercially focused with the ability to deliver innovative solutions. You should be focused on self-development and have a strong ambition to build a successful track record.
