Brick House is looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at their cafes in East Dulwich and Peckham.
Brick House is an award winning sourdough bakery and café with branches in East Dulwich and Peckham. Our menus have a breakfast, brunch and lunch focus, incorporating high quality seasonal ingredients from suppliers including Neal’s Yard Dairy, Swaledale and Natoora. Dishes like shakshuka, migas and French toast sit alongside generous salads and substantial sandwiches. As well as the bread and pastries that the on-site bakery produces, the kitchen makes as much as possible from scratch including stocks, jams, pickles, chutneys and charcuterie.
As Sous Chef you’ll be part of a small team of chefs that work across two sites, helping to maintain the quality of our offering and driving the direction of the menu. You will have a good understanding of the numbers side of the business, including GPs and stock control, and be fully proficient in food safety and HACCP procedures.
Aside from the occasional evening event, this position is strictly day-time, offering an enviable quality of life for this kind of role.
