Koya is a Japanese Udon restaurant in Soho. Operating since 2010, we make udon fresh every day. We have maintained a strong identity and loyal customer base with our renowned noodle bowls, and ever changing seasonal small plates menu. Working with select speciality suppliers we offer a unique dining experience in the heart of Soho.
The sous chef will work towards supporting the Head Chef in all areas, and assuming full responsibility of the kitchen when they are not there. The sous chef will be guided and encouraged to have creative input to the menu, in developing dishes for the blackboard specials. The Sous Chef will be supported in their development and offered training opportunities where necessary.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an experienced chef to join our team. Although some knowledge of Japanese cooking is beneficial, it is not necessary. We are interested in a candidate who is passionate about learning, with a drive and motivation which they can apply to a new cuisine. Koya offers a unique opportunity for growth and development as a chef.
