General Manager, Lahpet West End

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Location: West End
Type: Full Time
Posted: 2 years ago

Lahpet is one of London’s only restaurants to specialise in authentic Burmese cooking.

Aiming to shine a light on this relatively untapped cuisine, Lahpet has been popularising traditional Burmese cooking by presenting Londoners with Burmese staple dishes and regional specialities with a hint of refinement and contemporary flare.

Lahpet’s first permanent site opened in Shoreditch in 2018 and was followed by a second in London’s West End in 2022.

We’re now recruiting a General Manager to take the reigns of our new but already critically acclaimed 180 cover West End site and work alongside the founding-director to grow the business whilst maintaining impeccable standards across the operation.

What we’re seeking:

  • A dynamic and highly organised restaurant General Manager with experience of running day to day operations of a high volume central London site
  • Experience of and continually striving for the delivery of a first class customer experience
  • Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable experience of successfully driving sales but also managing cost effectively
  • Experience in financial reporting, HR management and team training & development
  • Strong awareness of health & safety, licensing and compliance
  • A passion for all things food and drink – Asian food, even better!
  • Friendly, approachable and can keep a cool head under pressure, whilst presenting well

Benefits:

  • Flexible and fair working hours
  • Full on-the-job training
  • Friends & family discount when dining at Lahpet
  • 28 days holiday & company pension scheme
  • Career advancement opportunities with further sites planned later this year

If the above sounds like you, you’re tenacious, reliable and interested in being part of our young dynamic team then get in touch!
