Sous Chef, The Black Sheep, Gladwin Brothers Enterprises
We are looking for passionate and energetic Sous Chef to join our team in newly opened restaurant The Black Sheep in Wimbledon. Perfectly placed in the idyllic Wimbledon village, right on the high street, the restaurant is a concept with a distinct countryside-luxe style serving modern farm-to-fork food in an atmospheric, sprawling space just by the common.
As guests enter the characterful space, they are privy to a swanky small plates and cocktails. Expect British negronis and our very own English wine alongside toothsome charcuterie and ‘brapas’ – all displayed on the interactive bar top.
In the main dining room, the menu is hyper-seasonal and offers a selection of premium brasserie-style dishes with a wild and foraged twist. Guests will easily recognise the focus on zero-waste and provenance.
Our wine offering is central to delivering an elevated dining experience, and pairing dishes with English wine is an integral aspect of our philosophy of “what grows together, goes together”.
The cornerstone of our restaurant is its connection to the community – connecting London residents with local farmers and growers and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere through the value of hometown charm. The team are set to be part of the family, and the aim is that this overflows into the dining room.
