With openings planned for the new year being pushed back, March is gearing up to be a good month for the hospitality industry. If you’re one of the many fans of NEST in Hackney, then the news that its creators are launching new restaurant FENN across town will be most welcome.
Luke Wassmeran, Toby Neill and Johnnie Crow are collaborating once more to open the restaurant on Wandsworth Bridge Road in Fulham. Joining the team is executive chef Johnnie Crowe and head chef Joe Laker (late of Anglo) to cook locally sourced British seasonal dishes. Menu highlights include hand dived Scottish scallop with chicken butter sauce, aged Yorkshire beef and Lincolnshire poacher cheese and truffle dumplings.
FENN centres around a hand carved wood table seating up to 8 guests (for when the rule of 6 is no more), and also features an outdoor terrace, artwork from local artists and a private dining room. There’s a special feasting menu on offer for private diners, too.
“It’s been a tough few months but we’re excited to finally be opening the doors and getting bak to what we do best” says Neill. Fingers crossed for a late March opening.
