Food Made Good Awards 2016

The shortlist of winners for the Food Made Good Awards 2016 is remarkable: among them a tapa joint, a chippy, a boutique hotel, University canteens, and a high street restaurant chain. Such diversity is a glowing testament to the breadth of quality establishments across the UK that champion both ethical and sustainable food, and reflects the positive changes the hospitality industry has made to meet the public demand for change.

The awards are run by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) to “celebrate everything exciting about British hospitality”. All but four of the awards (dubbed “The Michelin Stars of Sustainability”) are decided on the basis of scores achieved over 2015, and each restaurant is assessed on the three pillars of sustainability: sourcing; society; and environment.

The SRA’s President Raymond Blanc OBE will present the ceremony at Lindley Hall, with food being prepared by Petersham Nurseries’ Damian Clisby, on 22 March 2016.
