If we had a burrata for every time somebody suggested that we should go to Pizza Pilgrims for lunch then we’d have a lot of burrata. The story of Pizza Pilgrims’ incarnation is as romantic and inspiring as you’d imagine: The founding brothers quit their day jobs and travelled around Italy in ‘Conchetta’ their three-wheel van (more about that here) tasting ingredients and learning all about the very best pizza at every opportunity. Back in London, they stuck a pizza oven in the back and started making waves at Berwick Street market in Soho. After countless weekend events, festivals and even a cookery book deal, their first four walled pizzeria opened on Dean Street in 2013.
Today Pizza Pilgrims and their Neapolitan style pizzas can be found all over London. Pizza lovers need to check out their bottomless pizza, prosecco and pints (available at their City site on Saturdays), their pizza in the post meal kits, and for superfans, their pizza subscription service…
