From afar this unusual glass and zinc pavilion in Spitalfields looks a little like it’s fallen from the sky. On closer inspection it’s a haven of brilliant food and drink served from brunch all the way through to dinner. The venture from Oliver Hiam and Dominic Hamdy (also known for their popular coffee shop Lundenwic) opened in 2018 and has always placed particular importance on independent, high-quality suppliers. Our favourite breakfast order is avocado on a chunky slice of Dusty Knuckle sourdough with a side of thick cut Secret Smokehouse salmon.

Still thirsty?

Over in Kingly Court, sister site Bar Crispin has an impressive collection of 150 low intervention wines from independent producers across all corners of Europe. The food there is excellent too.
