A pub was where the MEATliquor empire first found its feet in New Cross back in 2011, so it was a homecoming of sorts when 10 years later Scott Collins and his team opened a Victorian pub in Forest Hill. This time there are family friendly – and dog friendly – vibes, and the menu is set to include fish and chips on Fridays, roast dinners on Sundays and kitsch pub classics like baked goats’ cheese and spaghetti Bolognese throughout the week. In a sign of how things have changed over the past decade, there’ll also be jackfruit tikka masala and a Forest Burger to cater for vegans.
