Wild Honey St James is the reincarnation of its predecessor in Mayfair. With a distinctly European bent, the menu is Anthony Demetre’s modern take on classic dishes. Both seasonal British ingredients and French cooking skills bring results that are elegant, but still substantial. Circumventing the small plates culture of many London restaurants, Wild Honey remains traditional in its familiar three-course structure. Interior specialist Jim Hamilton’s touch elevates the space to an intimate experience, where the staff move seamlessly in their charming service.
The beautiful interiors are always a draw no matter the weather, but equally welcome on a fair-weather day are the tables in the square at Waterloo Place. To sit and watch the passers-by is the true European experience.
