Diffusion lines, restaurant-style

It’s been the week of delivery and at-home kit launches, as the hospitality industry quickly adapts to the challenges of the weeks ahead – and we like the sound of this clever creation by Nieves Barragan. She is launching a little – and more casual – sister (or brother?) to Sabor. It’s jauntily called Rico! Rico! and is available from Thursday.

Recognising that we all need a bit of comfort food right now, Rico! Rico! (which loosely translates as yummy yummy) will be “sharing-style plates any Spanish mother would serve up to her family”, as Nieves describes them, inspired by the dishes she’s been cooking during lockdown herself.

Expect chicken stews, crispy croquettes and tortillas delivered to your door. There is also a feast for two on offer with tuna empanadillas, meatballs and arroz negro for those that aren’t enduring lockdown alone. If the Spanish tortilla masterclass we had from Nieves last year is anything to go by, then you’re in for a treat..

The food will be delivered within a three-mile radius of Sabor’s Heddon Street site, so if you’re lucky enough to live nearby and want to order, click here, click here
