EXCLUSIVE: CeCe’s, a new restaurant from Public House Group, will open its doors this Wednesday 4 March at 123 Clarendon Road in Notting Hill. The venue, set across two floors, promises timeless glamour, escapism, old school hospitality and “a hint of Hollywood”. Its menu will centre on classic Italian dishes including aubergine parmigiana, bream carpaccio with caviar, fonduta agnolotti, and bistecca alla fiorentina. To complement the cooking, an extensive wine list focused on Italy and a sizeable collection of bottles from Burgundy and Bordeaux, including larger formats. CeCe’s represents a departure for Public House Group, known largely for its painstakingly restored old pubs including The Pelican and The Fat Badger in Notting Hill, The Hart in Marylebone, and The Bull, Charlbury. Olivier van Themsche, co-founder of Public House Group with James Gummer and Phil Winser, says: “Initially we looked at the space as it was once a pub, but we fell in love with the glamour and unique design. The surreal interiors and character hidden behind the copper door inspired us to create a restaurant that felt both current and exciting, whilst retaining the allure of traditional hospitality.” If it’s anything like its sister venues, then expect CeCe’s to be an instant hit with locals, Londoners, and celebrities alike.
