When Joanna Nightingale of longstanding local favourite, Highbury Library, is not at the bar, pouring natural wines, hosting books clubs, wine clubs and quizzes, she’s out and about with her cockapoo, Abaco. Here’s where she stops for coffee en route.

“At Profile in Highbury Barn, they’re quite geeky about their coffee in a good way. They also provide free dog biscuits so my dog pulls me in there. I get an oat flat white to take on our walk. It’s a nice cosy spot and the people who work there are really friendly. They also do a really good pistachio matcha.”

“A bookshop, bar and coffee shop. At Highbury Library, we host a book club called Read Between The Wines where we pair natural wines to books. BookBar gives our readers a discount. I go in to catch up over a coffee with the owner Chrissy who is very knowledgeable about books.”

“Great coffee but also all the food! The morning buns, the potato sourdough, and they do a really good feta, honey and fennel seed swirl.”
