Dishoom Birmingham announce rescheduled launch date

Published 9 July 2020

After originally planning to open its latest site in April, it’s good to hear that the much-loved Dishoom is set to finally launch its latest site in Birmingham on Saturday 18 July.

Synonymous with long queues and waiting times to get a table, there’s no better time to visit, as Dishoom is taking reservations for the soft launch for the very first time. Reservations will be taken for groups of six at any time of day, including evenings, and from 18 July to 5 August guests will be offered 50% off food. If you’re not the type to plan ahead, there will still be walk-in slots available throughout the day.

The new site in One Chamberlain Square overlooks the Birmingham Town Hall, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and features an outdoor terrace for diners to enjoy the views.

Guests can expect the food they have come to know and love, as the restaurant continues to pay homage to the old Irani cafés of Bombay. Food will be served from breakfast until late, featuring biryani dishes, grills, chai teas and cocktails. The menu is currently available for diners only, however Dishoom continues to run its online store with nationwide delivery, including the famous bacon naan roll kit.

Executive chef Naved Nasir has also created a Birmingham special, the mutton chaap korma: mutton with a rich sauce, accompanied by a khamiri roti.
