The team behind Dorian, EEL Sushi, Supermarket of Dreams and the Notting Hill Fish + Meat Shop will open Nakimushi, a new Japanese restaurant, in a Notting Hill townhouse this September. The three-storey venue, from restaurateur Chris D’Sylva, will be led by Yuji Shimokawa Kelly and Robin Kosuge as joint head chefs, combining the two chefs’ respective cult concepts – Urchin and Robin’s Ramen, both of which originated as residencies at Supermarket of Dreams. The street-level ramen bar will serve Tokyo-style ramen bowls, starters and snacks including Kosuge’s charshu pork belly ramen with Basque chicken broth and ajitama, while upstairs, a Japanese robata restaurant and bar will serve the likes of grilled native lobster chazuke and Japanese Black Holstein beef with beef jus, kimizu and angel hair fries.

Andrew Wong is checking into Mandarin Oriental Mayfair on Hanover Square with A.Wong this summer while his two Michelin star restaurant undergoes refurbishment. The six-week residency runs evenings-only from 18 August to 26 September.

Chris Denney (108 Garage) has joined Ronnie’s London at Kith’s Regent Street flagship as head chef. His first menu involves soufflé pancakes, signature cinnamon buns, sandwiches, NY-style bagels and flights of mini wagyu burgers served at a dedicated burger bar.
