Adam Byatt is branching out into Italian cooking with the opening of Rosina, a new neighbourhood restaurant in Wandsworth. Named after his young daughter, Rosie, Rosina represents a departure for the classically trained chef, whose other restaurants, which include Trinity in Clapham, Charlie’s in Mayfair, and Brasserie Constance in Fulham, are known for French and British food. It is, however, food he loves and has been cooking for years at home for his family. The 50-cover restaurant, just down the road from Chez Bruce, will open seven days a week from the summer.

TOAD Bakery, one of Good Food Guide’s 50 Best Bakeries 2026, is opening a second site in Deptford in June. The new, larger site will serve as a central bakehouse, supplying both Deptford and Camberwell sites with such signature treats as the ‘Everything Bagel Croissant’.
Man Hon Luk, the DJ-turned-pitmaster behind Uncle Hon’s BBQ has found a home for his Asian-inspired Texas BBQ concept in Hackney Wick. He’ll be taking over the old Silo site above Crate Brewery in July. He’s raising funds on Kickstarter to support it.
Fresh from her victory on Great British Menu 2026, Nikita Pathakji is to unveil her debut restaurant MAAI in Clapham on 20 May. She’ll be joined there by her mother Rima and sister Isha. Yes, her winning dish – halibut and Malaysian fish head curry – will be on the menu.
