Another October opening to look forward to, ramen bar Heddon Yokocho is soon to launch on Heddon Street. The latest opening from Japan Centre – following small ramen bar Showaken earlier this year – Heddon Yokocho aims to ‘transport guests back in time to the yokocho alleyways of Japan’, creating a retro-style restaurant reminiscent of 1970s Tokyo.

Yokocho are the social hubs of Japan: loud and fun streets filled with food vendors and street soul food. The menu will celebrate the history of ramen and the differences of regional ramen cuisine, offering speciality bowls with broths from across Japan.

Priced from £12, guests can expect dishes including the Sapporo Miso, a miso-based chicken and pork broth ramen, and Hakodate Shio, a salt and miso-based broth ramen. There are also vegetarian and vegan options available, including the vegan Napoli, a tomato-based ramen with grilled tomato and mushrooms. Side dishes including buns, gyoza and maki sushi rolls will also be on offer – as well as sake.

To celebrate opening, Heddon Yokocho are offering 50% off all ramen from 12 – 14 October. To find out more, visit the website here
