The Gantry to become latest Stratford opening

Published 31 January 2020

Joining new openings such as Allegra and The Stratford Hotel, The Gantry gives us yet another reason to head east. Set to open in summer 2020, The Gantry will feature a food market, restaurants, bars and events space in London’s fastest developing creative community.

Wishing to set a new example for the industry, The Gantry aims to create a sustainable business that provides a hub for the local community by combining eating, drinking and social spaces under one roof. The development will bring together local producers, artists, bands and independent London restaurateurs to offer a fully integrated eating, drinking, travel and social destination.

Situated directly in front of Stratford international station, alongside a restaurant, food market and event spaces, The Gantry will also boast the highest rooftop bar in east London on the 18th floor offering views across the capital. Additionally, The Gantry Hotel will become an independent design hotel offering 291 rooms over 17 floors. The hotel will be managed by Saurabh Kukreja, who has joined from the 5-star Renaissance Pattaya Resort and Spa in Thailand.

The Gantry’s silhouette is inspired by New York’s Flat Iron building, whilst the interiors are influenced by industrial Victorian east London and particularly Stratford’s role in the city’s train building industry.
